Mac Cloud Usage Guide
Common tasks organized by topic — from first connection to renewal billing. Use the quick links below or browse by tag.
Getting Started
Learn about delivery format, node selection, and base specs.
Is it a real Mac or a virtual machine?
You get abare-metal Mac mini, not a shared VM. You receive a full macOS environment with admin privileges and can freely install Xcode, dependencies, and third-party tools. Isolation and resource details are specified in your order and delivery documentation.
How does bandwidth and IP work?
Standard plans include1 Gbps dedicated bandwidthanda dedicated IPv4. Special specs, if any, are noted on the order page and in your order. SeePlan Details.
Which data center nodes can I choose?
At checkout you can select from Asia-Pacific and US West nodes (Singapore, Japan, South Korea, US East/West, etc. — see theconfig pagefor the live list). We recommend choosing the node closest to your team or target users to minimize remote desktop latency.
Connection & Access
VNC graphical desktop and SSH command-line access.
How do I access the macOS desktop via VNC?
Once your instance is ready, log in toMy Dashboard, open the machine card, then clickVNC, or visit theremote desktop pageand enter your order number and connection token. Never share connection credentials in public.
How do I connect via SSH? Is key-based auth supported?
Your dashboard will provide anSSH command example(host, port, username). We recommend key-based login; run the command from your local terminal. Keep your private key safe — never upload it to untrusted platforms.
Will my tasks keep running after I disconnect?
Yes. Closing VNC or SSH does not stop your Mac Cloud instance. It keeps running throughout your rental period and data stays on the local disk. Long builds and CI jobs can safely run in the background.
Billing & Renewal
Activation timing, billing cycles, and how to view invoices.
How soon can I use it after payment?
After successful payment, provisioning begins — typically completed withinminutes(subject to availability and review). You can track progress in your dashboard order, and you'll receive an email or in-app notification once it's ready.
What billing cycles are available?
We supportdaily / weekly / monthly / quarterlybilling. Daily is ideal for short trials; monthly or quarterly is recommended for long-term CI/CD. You can place an order without logging in first — seePricing Rules.
Where can I see my expiry date and renewal history?
Log in to yourDashboardand check the billing / orders section to viewexpiry dates, renewal history, and order status. Weekly / monthly / quarterly plans auto-renew before expiry; daily plans are one-time purchases. Guest orders can be merged after logging in from the same browser.
Instance Management
Power operations, config review, and adding more machines.
How do I power on, off, or restart?
Initiate apower operationfrom your machine card in 'My Machines'. It's executed via a support workflow and the status is updated accordingly. Save your work before rebooting to avoid interrupting long builds.
What is multi-Mac clustering?
AThunderbolt 5multi-machine add-on via high-speed interconnect — ideal for scenarios requiring fast coordination. On theorder page, select the cluster add-on; pricing and billing cycle are bundled with your primary instance.
What happens to my data when I cancel?
After the instance is released, the disk undergoes adeep wipeand the data cannot be recovered. Back up your code, certificates, and important files to local storage or another secure location before canceling.
